Swedish PM lets the cat out of the bag

Swedish prime minister Fredrik Reinfeldt has admitted that if Ireland votes no, it can still keep its EU Commissioner. He also admitted that even if EU leaders make good on their political promise to let Ireland keep a Commissioner under Lisbon, the deal would eventually expire. find out more >

95% of Europeans would reject Lisbon if given a say

EU Commissioner Charlie McCreevy has admitted that 95% of countries around Europe would have rejected the Lisbon Treaty if voters had been given the chance to have a say.  He also admits to still not having read the Treaty, despite campaigning for a ‘yes’ vote.
